Where We Come From

The story of Drokona begins over a century ago, in the heart of a quaint village in MP. It was the early 1910s, and the fields stretched wide under the golden sun. This was where the Founder, Tanishk’s great-great-grandfather, humble cotton farmer and picker, who was from Prayagraj, spent his days nurturing the land. With rough hands, weathered by labor and love, he tended to cotton plants as though they were extensions of his own being. He believed that the soft fibers he picked were more than just crops—they were a gift of comfort, a bridge between the earth and the homes that cherished its warmth.

Life was not easy then. The work was hard, the returns meager, but there was a quiet pride in his heart. He knew his labor was essential, that the cotton he gathered would go on to cradle families, provide restful nights, and wrap babies in soft security. His dream was simple but profound: to see the cotton he picked transformed into something meaningful, something lasting.

That dream, passed down like an unspoken promise through generations, has been realized through Drokona, founded by his great-great-grandson, Tanishk. In a fast-paced world often disconnected from its roots,
